First Look!!
Batman is forced to enter the Arkham City prison zone to save Catwoman from Two Face and his thugs, but as you'd expect with that many baddies on the prowl, things don't go according to plan and the caped crusader must battle his way to safety while making sure that none of these criminal masterminds breaks out into Gotham.
We've heard there'll be a multiplayer mode, but details are locked up in the Batcave until closer to release. Phooey. We reckon it'll involve one player as Batman trying to take down the other players without being spotted.
Batman: Arkham City is looking super spanky, but we'll have to wait until Autumn 2011 to get our hands on it.
Set one year after the events of the awesome action game Batman: Arkham Asylum, this sequel picks up with all those loopy inmates locked up in a specially sealed district of Gotham City. Yep, they've let a bunch of super-villains loose and are trusting them not to escape. What could possibly go wrong with such a clever plan?
Just like the last game, you'll be exploring, fighting and using stealth to get past tricky sections. There'll also be more puzzling, using Batman's "detective vision" to find and follow clues and trails, as well as new Riddler challenges. All the popular gadgets from the previous game are back, and you'll get a couple of new toys to play with as well. Smoke bombs let you confuse enemies while you slip away, while a signal tracer lets you home in on enemy broadcasts.
Of course, when you put a bunch of big-headed bad guys in the same place, they start to annoy each other. Not only will enemies be on the lookout for Batman, they'll fight each other if they come across henchmen loyal to a rival villain. Hey, play nicely!
