Review!!
Family Game Night 3 offers five different games, in classic and remixed forms. Your host is veggie legend Mr Potato Head, and the more you play the more cool bonus items you can unlock.
Twister and Yahtzee aren't as much fun. Twister is just a match-the-button music game which doesn't feel like the tangling balancing fun of the real life game. Yahtzee is OK, but not the most exciting game around. You probably won't be picking these very often.
Mouse Trap is a lot of fun, but only with other players. You can play any of the games on your own against the computer, but trapping someone in a giant mouse trap is only fun when you can see the look on their face!
Once upon a time, a long time ago, people gathered around things called "tables" and played something called "board games". They were a bit like videogames, but they happened in front of you, not on a screen. Sounds weird to us, so luckily we can now play these games on the telly using a joypad, like civilised human beings.
The best games are Game of Life and Cluedo. Some of the games in previous Family Game Night compilations have been a bit simple, like Connect 4, but these are much more interesting. Plotting a path through life itself or solving a murder are the sort of tasks that work well as videogames and the way the boards come to life is really clever.
The best games in Family Game Night 3 are very cool and loads of fun. The weakest games are just a bit pointless. We're not sure it's worth buying at full price, but it's definitely worth picking up cheap if you want to get everyone joining in at Christmas.
