Review!!
That hairy great oaf Donkey Kong is up to his old tricks again. At the opening of the new Miniland amusement park, he has a big fat monkey tantrum when Mario runs out of free Pauline dolls and swipes the real Pauline instead! Now Mario has to use an army of miniature robots to free Pauline and put a stop to all this monkey business!
That's just the beginning though! Soon you'll be using bounce blocks, green pipes and moving walkways to get those Mini Marios past the hazards and out of each level! It's fast and frantic, and you'll probably need a few practice goes on the later levels before you figure them out!
Miniland Mayhem is one of those games that seems really simple, but it slowly gets more and more complicated until you feel like your brain will melt! It's never too tricky, but you might want to take a few deep breaths while playing some of the more frustrating levels.
The Mini Marios are out of your control. Once they start stomping along, they'll keep on going and only change direction if they reach a ledge. It's up to you to use the stylus to extend girders and bridges to guide them to the exit!
You can get bonus points by sending the Mini Marios to collect all the extra items in each level. There are also boss fights and special stages as well, where the normal gameplay gets tweaked and flipped in cool new ways!
This isn't the greatest Mario game you'll ever play, but it is one of the best puzzle games for the DS. If you prefer games that tickle your braincells as well as your reactions, it's definitely worth getting!
