Ever since Avatar blew our eyeballs out the back of our heads, the whole world has gone 3D crazy. It's awesome, but the only drawback? Those pesky glasses! Leave it to Nintendo to come up with the answer - the Nintendo 3DS, a handheld console that offers 3D gameplay without any special glasses! You just move a slider and the game expands into 3D before your very eyes. It's like magic, but sadly it only works on smaller screens like this, so we won't be getting a similar effect on the telly any time soon.
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Kid Icarus was the game that Nintendo chose to demonstrate the 3D power of the 3DS at the glitzy Los Angeles E3 games show, so you know it's going to knock your socks off. An update of a classic Nintendo game from the NES era, it features epic aerial battles and cool combat.Icarus in action!

3D isn't the only treat the 3DS has in store. It's way more powerful than the existing DS, has larger screens, and a thumbstick for precise control in action games. It still has the touchscreen at the bottom, and you'll be able to install games to its internal memory so you don't have to worry about swapping cartridges. Hollywood 3D movies will be available for it, but even better, it has a special camera function that lets you take your own photos in 3D!
