First Look!!
You'll earn Sheriff Stars for every enemy you defeat, and from all the barrels and crates you smash. Save them up and use them to improve Rango's abilities from Wounded Crow, the merchant!
At different points in the game, you'll get to ride a roadrunner bird, a flying bat, a UFO and even a flying clockwork goldfish. Did we mention that this game gets pretty weird?
Rango has great graphics and it's really funny as well. The story scenes are as good as the movie, and when Rango embarks on a wacky journey to the edge of reality, where he gets sucked inside an arcade machine and talks to floating fish, you'll be laughing and scratching your head!
Rango the lizard has a cushy life as a pet, but when he finds himself in a rundown desert town he takes the opportunity to live out his dream of becoming a hero. Some of the meaner critters don't take kindly to their new sheriff though, and he spins them a tale about how he defeated bandits, zombies and space aliens!
The game mixes up lots of different gameplay styles. Sometimes you're clambering and exploring, at other times it's all about shooting and fighting. Other sections are more like a driving game, and there's even some stealthy sneaking and simple puzzling to keep you busy. Thankfully, all the different styles of play work really well together, and the game never gets boring or frustrating.
Rango is really great fun, while it lasts. It's not a long game though, and it's not too hard either. Once you've finished it, all that's left is to replay the levels and try to find any collectibles you missed. There's not much reason to do this though, so you're left with a game that will keep you laughing and playing for a week or so, but you'll finish it off too quickly.
