This adventure is more than just another chance to save the world. The timestream has gone all funny because of an event that was never supposed to happen: the death of Peter Parker! Can Spidey save his own life?
The game will hop between two stories, one in the modern day and one in the grim future of 2099. Things you do in one time zone will change the future, and make the 2099 levels play differently. We've got a headache already!
Spider-Man: Edge of Time is being developed by Beenox, the same studio that brought us the four-way Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions last year. We may be getting two less Spidey's for this game, but we still reckon these guys can do the business! Spidey's back, and he's got himself in a right old time-travelling tangle! A plot that threatens past, present and future means that Peter Parker has to team up with his futuristic counterpart, Spider-Man 2099, to save the day!
The story for Edge of Time comes from experienced Marvel Comics writer Peter David. He's the guy who helped to create Spider-Man 2099 in the comic books. He's also written for the Ben 10 Alien Force TV show, and adapted the Epic Mickey videogame into a graphic novel, so we reckon he knows what he's doing!
Spider-Man: Edge of Time swings into action on all consoles this Autumn.
