First Look!!
It's been almost five years since Nintendo legend Link made his debut on the Wii in Twilight Princess, so it's about time he showed his little green hat in public! Skyward Sword is the first Zelda game developed exclusively for Wii Motion Plus control, and we reckon it's going to be one of the best games in a very long and very excellent series!
Link has more than just a sword and shield to play with though. He's got a whole rucksack full of cool weapons and gadgets, all designed especially for motion control. You'll be able to crack whips, fire arrows, twang catapults and even roll bombs just by the way you move in real life!
Accompanying you on your journey is a flying bug that you'll be able to control as it flies around the scenery. Use it to grab useful items from far away, or just to annoy enemies!
Skyward Sword looks amazing but there is some bad news. It doesn't come out until next year! Aaaargh!
Motion Plus means that for the first time, your movements are recreated exactly on screen by Link. Every swish of the sword is up to you! You'll also be able to use the nunchuk controller as a shield, and even push it forwards to bounce enemy attacks back at them!
The story is still top secret but we know that in this game Link comes from a place called Skyloft, floating above the clouds. When he discovers another world down below, he sets off to explore and free it from an evil presence!
The motion control even allows for some cool puzzle ideas. For example, when you find a locked door with an eyeball staring at you, just wave your sword around in a circle until it goes dizzy! Much more fun than a boring old key!
