First Look!!
Quest Mode is the biggest change. Instead of just travelling from venue to venue, playing gigs, you're now on an epic adventure to save the Demigod of Rock from the clutches of The Beast. Your quest is narrated by Gene Simmons, the freaky frontman of hard rock legends KISS. Never heard of 'em? Ask yer Dad!
The new guitar controller has all its electronics in the neck, which means you can remove the body of the guitar and swap it for different designs. How cool is that? It's also the first guitar controller to be admitted into the Hard Rock Hall of Fame!
Thrash and Burn!
Guitar Hero is back - and this time it's really changed! Don't worry, you still shred along to awesome rock hits from today's coolest tunes to classics from the past, but there are loads of new features that make it more than just another music game. Check it out!
There are eight Guitar Heroes to play as, and each one unlocks their own power-ups. Beat their challenges and you can get access to their wicked Warrior Form - crazy Halloween-style versions of the character that give you a maximum of 6x Star Power and other useful bonuses. Once unlocked, you can combine any two powers to give you a rockin' advantage. Check out the Warriors page for more info!
You'll be able to play songs from previous Guitar Hero games, as well as any songs you downloaded from the Guitar Hero store. Each one will be updated with thirteen challenges for even more scoring opportunities!
The final battle of the game against The Beast is set to music specially created for Guitar Hero by Dave Mustaine from mighty metal band Megadeth. The two-part track, called Sudden Death, is supposed to be the toughest Guitar Hero song ever. Gulp!
