Top Tips!

Super Start!

Hit the accelerator just after the count of ‘2’ at the start of a race. You’ll get a boost start which should put you at the front of the pack!

Mega Miles!

Missions and Grand Prix races net you Sega Miles. Spend these on unlocking cool characters, tricky tracks and some wicked new music!

Dynamic Drift!

Hold down the drift button to send your car sliding around corners. Hold it as long as you can for a super-powerful turbo boost!

Secret Shortcuts!

Don’t just follow the leader – all tracks have different routes and some even have cool shortcuts which can move you ahead of the pack!

How To Drift!

You’ll need to learn how to drift well to win the races on the higher difficulty levels! Here are our top Megaton tips on getting the biggest and best boost:

3-Stage Drift

Keep holding the drift button and your turbos will change colour. Level 1 boost is blue, Level 2 is amber, and a Level 3 boost is red!

Tight Corners

If you think you’re going to hit the wall, or drive off the track, keep tapping the accelerator. You’ll pull off a tight turn and still keep your drift!

Turbo Smashes

Turbos can smash through obstacles, but if you get a Level 3 boost, you can bash opponents, too. Let go when your meter is full to send nearby cars flying!
