WarioWare: DIY

Review!

If you love the bite-sized nuggets of bonkers gaming that made WarioWare famous, you'll love this latest verson - it lets you make your own games!
Ninety new WarioWare microgames are included but if you're feeling creative you can draw new graphics, animate them, add your own tunes and instructions and make up rules for your game! When you’re done, you can save your minigames to share with your mates or upload them online for the whole world to see!

Six steps to make a game!

1. Background There are tons of paint tools to choose from. Use them to make a brilliant background!

2. Draw Now it’s time to make your sprites – the objects in your game that you want to move!

3. Animate You can create up to four frames of animation to really bring your microgame to life!

4. Music The game’s taking shape, but it’s a bit quiet. So add your own music and sound effects!

5. Instructions Now you need to tell the game how the objects should move and what happens when the player taps the screen!

6. Win Condition Finally, tell the game what the player needs to do to complete the microgame and move onto the next one!

Congratulations! You just made a game. Easy, wasn't it? Go on, make another! And another! And...you get the picture.

It's good to share!

There are three different ways to show off your best microgames. If your mate has a copy of the game, you can link up your DS to their console to transfer your fave games over! Turn your Wii on and you can connect your DS wirelessly to play your games on the telly. Finally, use your home Wi-Fi connection to send your creation across the internet so people all over the world will be able to play your game!
Pick the DIY 101 option for the simple way to get creative, or head to the Assembly Dojo if you want to make something a bit more complex! And there's more than just games - WarioWare DIY even lets you create your own comic strip. Draw the four panels and save it to show your mates!
You might be worried that WarioWare DIY looks dead complicated, but it's really easy to use. There are loads of hints and tips to help you get started, and once you know what all the buttons are for you'll be making games without even thinking about it! Give it a try - you'll be surprised at what you can make!
