Played in five chapters, which will be released every month until April, you must move the story along by exploring, talking to characters and working out what to do with the various objects you find.
Fans of the films will be pleased to hear that actor Christopher Lloyd returns as Doc Brown, while Bob Gale, the co-creator of the movie trilogy, is also involved in the game. Even the music is the same, and although the graphics are cartoony rather than realistic, you're basically playing the fourth official instalment in the series!

Following on from the popular movie trilogy, Back to the Future: The Game finds time-travelling teen Marty McFly heading into history in his time travelling sports car to rescue his friend, barmy inventor Doc Brown, from a sticky fate. He's stuck in jail, and gangsters are trying to kill him! It'll take all your puzzle power to put history back together again!
Sometimes the answers to the puzzles are really obvious, but there are some tricky ones as well. Luckily, there's a hint system that will give you a series of clues to nudge you in the right direction if you really get stuck!
This is a really funny and clever game. You don't need to know the movies to play it, but if you are a fan then you'll love how many jokes and ideas have been carried over from the big screen. The first chapter, It's About Time, is available now for PC from Telltale Games. You can preorder the whole series for about £16, or wait for it to come to PlayStation 3 later this year!
