First Look!
Kirby's Epic Yarn is different to the previous nine Kirby games in a couple of important ways. For one thing, he's made out of string! This lets him whip and swing around the levels. In fact, Kirby's whole world is now made from cloth. You can pull zips to open new areas, or even fold and scrunch the scenery to bring platforms closer together!
Kirby can change his shape, depending on the situation. Falling from a great height? Turn into a parachute! Got an enemy below you? Turn into an anvil! Need to get somewhere fast? Turn into a car! From surfboards to giant robots, Kirby can bend his stringy body into all kinds of wacky forms!
Kirby's Epic Yarn will be out on Nintendo Wii early next year. And that's the truth. We wouldn't string you along!
We'll forgive you if you've never heard of Kirby. After all, the poor little fella hasn't been seen outside of handheld games for seven long years! But if you've never met the plumpest action hero of them all, here's your chance!
You'll be able to use your string to wrap enemies up into balls of yarn, that you can then pick up and throw at other enemies. We're just hoping that the end of level boss isn't an old lady who wants to knit you into an enormous scarf!
Kirby's Epic Yarn will also feature a two-player co-op mode. The second player can join in as Prince Fluff, a blue woolly circle with a crown. You can pick each other up and throw your partner to new parts of the level, unlocking secret areas!
