Super Scribblenauts

First Look!!

The original Scribblenauts was one of those games that had amazing ideas, but got a little tangled up in clunky cameras and fiddly controls. Thankfully, Super Scribblenauts is on its way later this year, with all new controls and a big fat sack full of even wilder wacky word combinations!
There's a reason this is called Super Scribblenauts and not just Scribblenauts 2. Everything has been super-charged and you can now use adjectives to create even more bizarre things. In the first game you could type in "werewolf" and a werewolf would appear. Now you can type in "giant red kung fu werewolf" and, well, you can probably guess what you get. A giant red werewolf doing kung fu!

Scribble on your computer!

Well, sort of. You don't want to get in trouble, do you? But you can decorate your computer desktop with this awesome Super Scribblenauts wallpaper. Just click the pic to download!

Think it! Make it!

The level editor has also been improved, letting you create your own puzzles and action levels. You can start with a completely empty level and fill it with whatever you can imagine! Drive your mates barmy with the weirdest challenges in the world!

If you didn't play the first Scribblenauts, it's really simple. You play as Maxwell, a young doodle-happy chappy who can create anything he wants with his magic crayon. Each level contains a puzzle that you have to solve using your imagination and Maxwell's magic drawings. You type in anything you want to create, and it appears in the game. And, yes, we mean anything.

The lion sleeps tonight?

Here's an example of an early puzzle from Super Scribblenauts. What solution would you choose?

This lion is sleepy. What can you do to help him have a snooze? You could ask for "tranquiliser gun" and knock him out! You could trick him into eating some "sleeping meat". Or maybe there's an even easier solution...

Aha! Just conjure up "moon" and the lion realises it's past his bedtime!

The great thing about Scribblenauts is that any of these ideas will work! It's all up to your imagination! Now, put your thinking cap on. How would you help a man jump off a cliff safely? What would you create to save a town from a fearsome monster? And will you be able to resist putting "giant" in front of everything?

The power of words!

Here's an example of just how many different ways you can tackle the puzzles by using the power of adjectives. Conjuring up a sword is all very well, but it's a bit boring, right? Why not liven it up by asking for a winged sword, huge sword, golden sword, fiery red sword or poisonous black sword? In the words of a famous burger bar, have it your way. Would you like fries with that?
