Pro Evolution Soccer

Review!!

This is basically the same game as the last PSP version of PES 2011, which means you get a full line up of 60 countries and 170 clubs to choose from. The Master League also returns, giving you something to aim for in the long term, as well as hammering through matches.
The big addition for the 3DS is Player's View. This puts you right on the pitch alongside the players, and it's absolutely brilliant at bringing the game to life. It can be tricky getting used to directing shots and passes in this mode, but the traditional Pro Evo viewpoint is still included so you can always switch back.

3D or not 3D?

Play it normally and PES 2011 is still a great footy game, but nothing special in 3D. Switch to Player's View and you've got one of the most amazing football games around. The 3D really lets you judge the distance down the whole pitch, and puts you in the thick of the action for every goal and tackle. Shame there's no online multiplayer, but if you love football and have a 3DS then you have to give Player's View a try. Every other footy game looks boring in comparison!

With no FIFA to challenge it, Pro Evo has the run of the pitch on the 3DS. Has it used the chance to put the ball in the back of the net, or is it just running around with its shirt over its face like a stupid old plonker?
The game uses the 3DS Street Pass system along with the Master League to keep updating your game, even when the console is in sleep mode. You'll unlock new players and clubs, the longer you keep playing.
