Think you've got the strongest Pokemon on the planet? Now's your chance to prove it! The official Pokemon world championships are coming up, and entry is open to all Pokemaniacs!
The UK qualifying heat takes place in Birmingham on Saturday May 29th in the Pavilion Hall of the National Exhibition Centre. There are two categories - one for players born before 1997, one for players born after 1998. The championship then moves to Germany, France and Spain to find the best Pokemon trainers across Europe. At the same time, champions will be chosen from across Japan and America. The top four from each category in each country will then be invited to take part in the grand final...in beautiful sunny Hawaii, USA!

The championship will be played using HeartGold and SoulSilver editions of the game, using the Flat Battle and GS Cup rules. Legendary Pokemon are allowed, but any super-powerful entrants will have their level capped at 50.
Just in case you're worried that you won't make it through to the finals, everyone who turns up with their DS will be able to download an exclusive rare Shiny Evee to their game to prove they took part!
